Install the genuine app
- Open the App Store and search for Smarters Player Lite.
- On the app’s page, check that the seller is WHMCS SMARTERS. Apps with similar names from other sellers are not the same app.
- Install it. The listing requires iOS or iPadOS 15.6 or later; check yours in SettingsGeneralAbout.
More on the app, its Premium purchase and look-alikes: Smarters Player Lite explained.
Add your playlist
- Open the app and accept any terms.
- Add your playlist. According to its App Store listing, Player Lite supports M3U and JSON playlists.
- Paste the playlist link from your provider’s message exactly, including capital letters and any port number.
- Wait for the channels, films, series and guide to load.
If your provider sent Xtream Codes details instead of a link, turn them into an M3U link with our Xtream Codes to M3U converter. IPTV Smarters login explains what each detail means.
Watch on your TV
Use AirPlay to send the picture to an Apple TV or an AirPlay-compatible smart TV, where the app supports it. Both devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network. See AirPlay IPTV from iPhone to TV. If you watch on the TV most of the time, installing the app on the Apple TV itself gives a steadier picture and frees your phone.
On mobile data
Live TV uses a lot of data: an HD channel uses roughly 2 to 3 GB an hour, depending on its bitrate. To stay in control:
- Turn the app’s mobile data access on or off in SettingsMobile Data.
- Pick lower-quality versions of channels where your provider offers them.
- Estimate your usage with our data usage calculator, or read how much data IPTV uses.
Common iPhone and iPad problems

|---|---|
| Playlist rejected | Recheck the link for typos and expiry; see authorization failed |
| Channels won’t play | Try another channel to see if it’s one stream or all; see IPTV Smarters playback error |
| Guide empty | Refresh the guide in the app; see IPTV Smarters EPG |
| App says no internet | Check the app is allowed to use Wi-Fi and mobile data in iOS Settings |
| Works on Wi-Fi but not mobile data | Your mobile network may block the server; see ISP blocking |
Other players for iPhone and iPad
If Player Lite doesn’t suit you, several other players run on iPhone and iPad, including UHF and IPTVX, which sync with their Apple TV versions. See the best IPTV apps for iPhone and iPad.
