What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in much the same way. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) requires us to ask for your consent before using any that aren’t strictly necessary.
What this website uses
| Name | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie-consent | Local storage, strictly necessary | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don’t ask on every page | Until you clear it |
_ga, _ga_* | Cookies, analytics (optional) | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows how people use the site | Up to 2 years |
We don’t use advertising or social media tracking cookies.
Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets the _ga cookies to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. We use Google’s consent mode, so no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected until you accept. Google may process this data outside the UK; see Google’s privacy policy for details.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
- Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to reopen the choice. If you reject analytics after accepting, we stop analytics and delete its cookies.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work.
Third-party services
When you click a WhatsApp link, you leave this website, and WhatsApp’s own policies apply. Player apps you install on your devices are provided by third parties with their own privacy policies.
