Where TiviMate wins
- Live TV feel: the grid guide and fast channel switching make it feel like a traditional TV box.
- Portal support: it accepts Stalker portals as well as Xtream Codes and M3U.
- Availability on Android TV: it’s on Google Play for TV devices, with an official download for Fire OS.
Where Smarters wins
- Platforms: it runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac (as Smarters Player Lite), where TiviMate doesn’t.
- Films and series: its library views are easier to browse than a live-TV-first layout.
- Beginners: the Xtream Codes login screen is simple.
Availability matters in 2026
The original IPTV Smarters Pro listing isn’t on Google Play in the UK. A Madrid court ordered its removal at LaLiga’s request in December 2022, and look-alike apps have filled the gap. On Android and Fire TV, install it only from the developer’s official site, and beware of look-alike apps and domains.
