How to choose
- You want IPTV with a proper TV guide: choose a device that runs Android TV players. See the best IPTV apps for Firestick and for Android TV.
- Your router is near the TV: pick a box with built-in Ethernet, the steadiest connection for live TV. See Wi-Fi or Ethernet for IPTV.
- You watch big channel lists: more memory and storage help. See Google TV Streamer vs Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
- Your household uses iPhones: Apple TV 4K vs Fire TV Stick.
- You want an Android TV box: see how to choose an Android TV box for IPTV.
- You want the simplest box for subscription apps only: Roku is easy to use, but see IPTV on Roku for its limits.
Two things to check before buying
- Fire OS, not Vega OS. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD run Vega OS and install Appstore apps only. See Vega OS explained.
- Certified, not “fully loaded”. Choose a Google-certified box from a known brand; cheap uncertified boxes miss updates and carry malware risks. See Android TV box malware.
