How IBO Player works
- Install the app on your device: from your TV’s app store, the App Store, or the downloads on iboplayer.com.
- Open it and note the MAC address and device key shown on screen.
- Add your playlist on the IBO Player website (its “manage playlists” page), signing in with those details.
- Restart the app: your playlist loads from IBO’s servers.
- Activate a licence before the 7-day trial ends if you want to keep using it. See IBO Player activation.
Because the playlist is managed on a website, you can type long links on a phone or computer instead of with a TV remote.

Genuine app or look-alike?
“IBO” is one of the most imitated names in IPTV. App stores list several similarly named apps from different sellers, and IBO Dev also lists a family of partner players. IBO Player vs IBO Player Pro and look-alikes explains how to tell them apart, and IBO-family players covers the partner apps.
Problems?
- Network error, playback error or black screen: see IBO Player not working.
- Playlist doesn’t appear: check the MAC address in the app matches the one you used on the website, and remember the Wi-Fi and Ethernet MACs differ. See IPTV MAC addresses.
