What it does
According to its Microsoft Store listing, MyIPTV Player:
- Plays HLS and MPEG-TS streams, from an Xtream Codes login or an M3U playlist, with multiple playlists supported.
- Groups channels automatically and lets you filter out groups you don’t watch.
- Has a built-in TV guide (EPG), favourites and PIN protection.
- Offers catch-up with Xtream Codes logins.
- Saves streams and can download on-demand videos, with a download centre and history.
- Lets you choose the player engine: the VLC library or the Windows media player.
The listing’s disclaimer is clear that no channels or streaming addresses are provided.
Set it up
- Install MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store on your PC or Xbox, and check the publisher is Vbfnet Apps.
- Open its settings and add your service: an Xtream Codes login (server address, username and password) or an M3U playlist link.
- Add a guide address if your provider gave you a separate XMLTV link for an M3U playlist.
- Let the channels and guide load, then hide the groups you don’t need and add favourites.
Server addresses must be entered exactly, including http:// and any port. See Xtream Codes login explained and how to add an EPG.
Tips
- If a channel won’t play or stutters, switch between the two player engines the listing describes: the VLC library and the Windows media player.
- On an older PC, close other apps: the listing recommends 8 GB of memory and says low-spec mobile devices aren’t recommended.
- On Xbox, typing long links with a controller is slow; a USB keyboard connected to the console helps. See IPTV on Xbox.
