About IPTV

What is IPTV?

Internet Protocol Television: live TV channels, a programme guide and on-demand content delivered over your broadband to a player app, instead of through an aerial, dish or cable. Read what is IPTV for the full explanation.

What do I need to watch IPTV?

A broadband connection (around 10 Mbps per screen for Full HD), a supported device such as a Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, Smart TV, phone or computer, and a player app. See supported devices.

Is IPTV legal in the UK?

The technology is legal. Whether a service is legal depends on whether it has the rights to the channels it shows, and UK enforcement now reaches viewers of unlicensed services as well as sellers. Read is IPTV legal in the UK.

How is IPTV different from satellite or cable?

It uses your broadband instead of a dish or cable line, needs no installation and works on phones and laptops as well as TVs. See IPTV vs satellite and cable.

Do I still need a TV licence?

In the UK you need a TV licence to watch or record live TV as it’s broadcast on any channel, by any method, including over the internet, and to use BBC iPlayer. The TV Licensing website has the details.

Free trial and plans

Can I try the service for free?

Yes. The free trial gives you the full service for 24 hours with no card details. One trial per household.

What plans are available?

1, 3, 6 and 12 months. Every plan includes the same channels and features; longer plans cost less per month, from £5.83 a month on the 12-month plan. See plans and prices.

Do all plans include the same channels?

Yes. The full channel list, the films and series library, the TV guide and catch-up are in every plan.

How many screens are included?

One connection, meaning one stream at a time, on as many devices as you like. Extra connections are available. See screens and connections.

What happens when my trial ends?

The trial login stops working. Nothing is charged. If you want to continue, choose a plan.

Payments and renewal

How do I pay?

Choose a plan and send the short order form. We confirm your order and the payment options available to you on WhatsApp or email, then send your login. See payments and renewal.

Is there a contract?

No. You pay once for the plan length you choose.

Will my plan renew automatically?

No. Plans never renew automatically. We remind you before your plan ends.

Can I get a refund?

You have a 14-day right to cancel, and if the service doesn’t work as described and we can’t fix it, a full refund within 7 days. See refunds and cancellation.

How quickly is my account activated?

Most accounts are activated within minutes of payment. See activate your account.

Devices and apps

Which devices are supported?

Fire TV devices, Android TV and Google TV boxes, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Android phones and tablets, Windows computers and MAG boxes. See supported devices.

Does it work on the new Fire TV Sticks?

The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and 2026 Fire TV Stick HD run Vega OS and only install Amazon Appstore apps, so they need an Appstore player. Other Fire TV Sticks run Fire OS and support a wide choice of players. See IPTV on Firestick.

Which app should I use?

TiviMate on Fire TV and Android TV, IPTV Smarters Pro on phones and computers, and SmartOne IPTV on Samsung and LG TVs are good starting points. Compare them in our IPTV apps guide.

Do player apps include channels?

No. A player contains no channels. It plays the subscription you add with your login.

Can I use it on Sky Glass or Roku?

Neither can install IPTV player apps. Plug a Fire TV Stick or Android TV box into a spare HDMI port instead. See IPTV on Sky Glass.

What is an Xtream Codes login?

Which channels are included?

UK entertainment, news, documentary, kids, music and sports channels, plus international channels from Europe and around the world. The complete current list is visible in the free trial. See channels.

Yes. Channels that provide schedule data appear in the programme guide, and catch-up works on channels that support it. See TV guide (EPG) problems if yours is empty.

Is the service in 4K or 8K?

Every plan includes every quality the source provides. Most live TV is Full HD or HD; 4K is common for films and series; 8K content is rare. See 8K and 4K IPTV.
