Move to a new device

New TV, new stick or a different room? Your subscription moves with you. For most devices you just install a player and sign in again. MAG boxes and some Smart TV apps need one extra step.

Most devices: install and sign in

For Fire TV Sticks, Android TV boxes, Apple TV, phones, tablets and computers:

  1. Install a player on the new device. See our guide for it: Fire TV Stick, Android TV box, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, Android or Windows.
  2. Sign in with your existing login, from your original welcome message.
  3. Set up favourites again, unless your player syncs or can restore them.
  4. On the old device, sign out or uninstall the player if you’re giving it away.

If you’re using a different player on the new device, you may need a different login format. For example, an M3U link for Smart IPTV instead of an Xtream Codes login. Ask us and we’ll send it.

Smart TV apps that use a MAC address

Players such as SmartOne IPTV and Smart IPTV link your login to the TV’s MAC address. On a new TV:

  1. Install the player and note the new TV’s MAC address (and device key, if shown).
  2. Add your login again on the player’s website for the new MAC address.
  3. Remember that any activation fee for the player is per TV and paid to the app developer.

MAG boxes

A MAG box portal login is tied to the box’s MAC address. If you replace your MAG box, send us the new MAC address from the label underneath. We’ll move your subscription to it, and you then enter the same portal address on the new box. See MAG box setup.

Moving house

Nothing changes: take your device, connect it to the broadband at your new home and it works as before. It’s a good moment to check your new connection with our internet speed guide.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a new subscription for a new device?

No. Your subscription works on any supported device. Install a player and sign in with the same details.

Will my favourites move to the new device?

Only if the player syncs them, as some Apple TV and iPhone players do through iCloud, or if it can back up and restore settings. Otherwise, set your favourites up again; it takes a few minutes.

I’ve lost my login details. What should I do?

Contact us from the phone number or email you ordered with, and we’ll resend them.
