MyIPTV Player on Xbox
MyIPTV Player is published by Vbfnet Apps, and its Microsoft Store listing names Xbox console among the devices it runs on. It accepts Xtream Codes logins and M3U playlists, shows a TV guide, and adds catch-up for Xtream logins. No channels are included.
- Open the Microsoft Store on the Xbox and search for MyIPTV Player.
- Check the publisher is Vbfnet Apps, then install it.
- Add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link in the app’s settings, plus a guide link if your M3U came with one.
Typing long server addresses with a controller is slow; a USB keyboard helps. The full guide is in MyIPTV Player.
Jellyfin, if you run a home server
If you already run, or want to run, a Jellyfin media server, its Xbox app gives you live TV and recordings from the server, with your M3U playlist and XMLTV guide set up there. It needs a computer or NAS that stays on. See Jellyfin for IPTV and Plex vs Jellyfin for IPTV.
What isn’t available on Xbox
- TiviMate is an Android app, so it can’t run on Xbox. See TiviMate on other devices.
- Kodi: Kodi’s download page lists Windows, Linux, Android, Raspberry Pi, macOS, iOS, tvOS and webOS, but not Xbox.
- Android APKs can’t be installed on Xbox.
Often the better option: a stick on the same TV
An Xbox takes one HDMI input. A Fire OS Fire TV Stick or a Google TV device in another input gives you every popular IPTV player, a TV remote, and a box that doesn’t need a console running. See Firestick alternatives and IPTV on Firestick.
