Step 1: find your MAC address and device key
Open IBO Player. The start or settings screen shows:
- MAC address: six pairs of characters, such as
A1:B2:C3:D4:E5:F6. - Device key: a code that proves you control that device.
Write both down exactly, or photograph the screen. Remember that a TV has different MAC addresses for Wi-Fi and Ethernet; if you switch connection type later, the app may show the other one. See IPTV MAC addresses.
Step 2: use the trial first
IBO Player offers a 7-day trial for testing. Use it to add your playlist and check that your channels play well on this device before paying. IBO Player states there are no refunds after purchase.
Step 3: buy the licence on the official site
- On a phone or computer, go to iboplayer.com and choose Activate device.
- Enter the MAC address (and device key, if asked) exactly as the app shows it.
- Pay using the options offered on the official page.
- Restart the app on the TV; it should show as activated.
Only activate through IBO Player’s own website. Sites selling “IBO activation codes” or cheap licences aren’t the developer.
