When MyTVOnline is the better choice
- You use a portal login. MyTVOnline is built around them, and Formuler says catch-up doesn’t work with plain M3U playlists, so a portal gives you the most features. See add a portal to MyTVOnline.
- You record a lot. Scheduled recording is set from the guide, and the box wakes itself to record.
- You have a Z12. MyTVOnline 4 is exclusive to the Z12 series. See MyTVOnline versions.
When TiviMate is worth adding
- You have other TVs with Fire TV or Google TV devices and want the same player and layout everywhere.
- You prefer TiviMate’s grid guide and its Premium features such as multiview. See TiviMate and TiviMate Premium.
- Your provider gives you an Xtream Codes login and you want to use it as is.
Both use the same subscription, but check your provider’s connection limit before running both at once; see too many connections. For the Formuler range itself, see IPTV on a Formuler box.
