MyTVOnline

Add your IPTV login to MyTVOnline

MyTVOnline accepts three kinds of IPTV login: a MAC-ID portal, an Xtream Codes (XC) login and an M3U playlist. Which you use depends on what your provider sends after you subscribe. The steps are the same idea in every version, but the menu has moved: here’s where to find it in MyTVOnline 2, 3 and 4, following Formuler’s own helpdesk.

The three login types

TypeWhat you give your providerWhat your provider gives you
MAC-ID (Stalker middleware)The box’s MAC-IDA portal URL, typically ending in /c
XC (Xtream Codes API)NothingA portal (server) URL, user ID and password
M3U playlistNothingAn M3U playlist URL and an EPG (XML) URL

Formuler stresses that its boxes include no content: the portal URL is what your service provider gives you after you subscribe.

Add a MAC-ID portal

  1. Find the MAC-ID. Open the add-portal screen in your version’s Content Sources menu; the MAC-ID is shown there and on a label on the box. Formuler says Z11 series boxes with MyTVOnline 3 use a MAC-ID starting 00:1E:B8; its general guide describes MAC-IDs starting 00:1A.
  2. Give that MAC-ID to your provider and wait for them to register it.
  3. Add the portal with the portal URL they send, exactly as written.
  4. Let the channels and guide load.

Add an Xtream Codes (XC) login

Choose XC in Content Sources and enter the portal URL (the server address, including http:// and any port), user ID and password from your provider. See Xtream Codes login explained.

Add an M3U playlist

Choose M3U and enter the M3U playlist URL, plus the EPG XML URL for the guide. Formuler notes that catch-up doesn’t work with plain M3U playlists, so if your provider offers a portal or XC login, those give you more. If your M3U works, Formuler suggests trying XC by converting the long M3U link into XC credentials; see Xtream Codes to M3U for how the two relate.

If it won’t connect

  • Error code 7 or 403: a connection failure between the box and the service. Check your internet with another app, open the portal URL in a web browser to check it’s correct and reachable, confirm the MAC-ID you gave the provider, and ask the provider whether your service is active.
  • Error code 11: the M3U link is wrong or inactive. Test it in a browser, check it with your provider, and if it used to work, delete it and add it again.

Every code is covered in Formuler error codes, and other problems in Formuler IPTV not working.

FAQ

MyTVOnline login questions

Where do I add a portal in MyTVOnline 3?

Formuler’s helpdesk gives Menu, Content Manager, Content Sources. In MyTVOnline 4 it’s Menu, Settings, App Settings, Content Sources, and in MyTVOnline 2 it’s Menu, Connections.

Which MAC address do I give my provider?

The MAC-ID that MyTVOnline shows when you add a portal. Formuler says Z11 series boxes with MyTVOnline 3 use a MAC-ID starting 00:1E:B8, shown in Content Manager, Content Sources, Add Portal and on a label on the box; its general portal guide describes MAC-IDs starting 00:1A.

Should I use a portal, XC or M3U?

Use what your provider supports. A portal (MAC-ID) gives you the most MyTVOnline features: Formuler says catch-up doesn’t work with plain M3U playlists. If an M3U works but you want XC, Formuler suggests converting the long M3U link into XC credentials.
