What you need
From your provider’s welcome message or app settings:
- Server address, for example
http://example-server.tv:8080(with the port, if there is one), - Username,
- Password.
Build the playlist link
On servers that follow the Xtream Codes format, the playlist address is the server followed by /get.php and your details (apps that use the login directly talk to the Xtream Codes API instead):
http://example-server.tv:8080/get.php?username=YOURNAME&password=YOURPASS&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
Replace:
http://example-server.tv:8080with your server address, exactly as given, includinghttporhttpsand the port,YOURNAMEandYOURPASSwith your username and password, keeping capital letters as they are.
Keep type=m3u_plus so the list includes channel groups, logos and TV guide IDs. Choose the output:
output=tsfor MPEG-TS streams,output=m3u8for HLS streams.
If channels buffer or won’t start with one output, try the other. Our M3U URL guide explains each option.
If your username or password contains special characters such as &, # or +, they may need encoding before they work in a link. Ask your provider for the link directly if the result doesn’t load.
Build the TV guide address
The matching guide address usually follows the same pattern with xmltv.php:
http://example-server.tv:8080/xmltv.php?username=YOURNAME&password=YOURPASS
Add it in your app wherever it asks for an EPG, XMLTV or TV guide URL. Our guide to EPG URLs covers where to put it in popular apps.
Check that it works
- Open the playlist link in a web browser on a computer or phone.
- It should download a file, or show text beginning with
#EXTM3Ufollowed by channel lines. - If you see an error or a blank page, check each detail again, or ask your provider whether playlist links are enabled for your account.
Keep it private
The link contains your password in plain text. Anyone with it can use your account, so don’t post it in forums or share screenshots of it. When you ask for help, blank out the username and password.
