Freezing and buffering
Formuler’s checklist for freezing, buffering and stutter in MyTVOnline, on all models:
- Update the box. Check the software is up to date.
- Test on your phone’s hotspot. If it plays smoothly there, the problem is your home network.
- Set a static IP: SettingsNetwork SettingsIP SettingsStatic.
- Toggle IPv6 on or off in the settings.
- Ask your provider for another portal type (MAC, XC or M3U) and compare.
- Test other apps and devices, such as StbEmu or IPTV Smarters, to see whether the service or the box is at fault.
- Test another network or router, and the YouTube app, to check general streaming.
- Disconnect any VPN. Formuler notes a VPN can slow your connection.
If nothing helps, Formuler’s last step is a factory reset (below). For network fixes that apply to every device, see IPTV buffering and Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Black screen
For black screens caused by the network, Formuler’s steps start with the same basics: update, test on a hotspot, try a static IP and toggle IPv6. Then:
- Ask your provider whether your IP address has been banned, and whether another portal type (MAC, XC or M3U) works.
- Check for blocks on your connection: turn off parental controls or child locks on your broadband account, and extra “security” add-ons your internet provider offers, and check your router’s firewall settings.
If your provider has been blocked by a court order, a service that worked can stop overnight; see ISP blocking and IPTV. For black screens on one channel only, see IPTV black screen.
No sound
Formuler’s steps, for all models:
- Check the HDMI cable and connections, and try a different cable and HDMI input on the TV.
- Check the TV’s sound settings, including its Auto Volume option, and any separate audio system.
- If it persists, try a factory reset, and ask your provider, because the stream itself can be the cause.
See no sound on IPTV for audio-track and format fixes.
The remote
Formuler’s checklist:
- Fit new batteries.
- Point it straight at the front of the box, from closer.
- Remove the IR extender from the back of the box (on models that support one) and try again; or use the supplied IR extender to improve range.
- Clear the area around the box, because other electronics can interfere with the IR signal.
- Unplug USB accessories from the box.
If it still won’t work, Formuler suggests the remote may need replacing, and that a remote app is an alternative in the meantime. For Bluetooth pairing, voice and TV buttons, see Formuler remote.
Last step: factory reset
A reset deletes all user data, including your portals, and Formuler warns not to remove power while it runs. Note your login details first.

| Z12, Z11 and Z10 series | HomeSettingsDevice PreferencesFactory Reset |
| GTV | HomeSettingsDevice PreferencesReset |
Older models use different menus, and some ask for a PIN; Formuler says the default PIN is 0000 unless you changed it. Afterwards, add your service again: see add a portal to MyTVOnline.
