Why it isn’t on Google Play
In December 2022 a court in Madrid ordered Google to remove IPTV Smarters Pro from the Play Store at LaLiga’s request, as reported by TorrentFreak (linked at the end of this page). When we checked the UK Play Store in September 2026, the original listing wasn’t available. Several apps with “Smarters” in their names are on Play, but they come from other developers.
Install from the developer
- Turn on developer options and allow a downloader or file manager to install apps. See how to sideload apps on Android TV and Google TV.
- Get the download from the developer’s own site, iptvsmarters.com. We couldn’t load it from our checks in September 2026, so we can’t confirm the current link; don’t use look-alike domains.
- Download and install with your downloader app, then delete the installation file.
- Open the app and add your login; see IPTV Smarters login.

Settings worth changing
- Player: if channels won’t play, switch between the built-in player and the alternative player in Smarters’ settings.
- Stream format: switch between MPEG-TS and HLS if channels buffer. See HLS vs MPEG-TS.
- Frame rate: use your device’s frame-rate matching for smooth UK channels.
