Smart IPTV

Smart IPTV on Fire TV and Android TV

Smart IPTV isn’t only for Samsung and LG TVs. On Android TV and Google TV it’s on Google Play, and on a Fire TV Stick you install the same app from Smart IPTV’s official APK with Downloader. Setup then works as on a TV: you upload your playlist on siptv.app against the MAC address the app shows. There’s one Android setting to check first, so that MAC address doesn’t change.

On Android TV and Google TV

  1. Open Google Play and search for Smart IPTV.
  2. Check the developer is needz, then install it. The listing says the app plays your IPTV streams on Android TV and contains no channels.
  3. Open the app and note the MAC address it shows.

On a Fire TV Stick

1

Use a Fire OS device

Vega OS sticks (the 4K Select and the 2026 HD) can’t install apps from outside the Appstore. See Vega OS explained.

2

Install and allow Downloader

Install Downloader from the Appstore, then open SettingsMy Fire TVDeveloper optionsInstall unknown apps and switch on Downloader. See the Downloader guide.

3

Get the official APK

In Downloader, enter apk.siptv.app, the address Smart IPTV’s instructions give, and install the app when the download finishes. Delete the file afterwards.

4

Open Smart IPTV

Note the MAC address on screen. You’ll use it on siptv.app.

Stop the MAC address changing

Newer Android versions can give each Wi-Fi network a randomised MAC address. Smart IPTV links your playlist and activation to the MAC it shows, so a changing MAC means a missing playlist. Its instructions say that on Android 10, 11 and 12 devices you should choose Use device MAC instead of Use randomized MAC in the Wi-Fi network’s settings. A wired connection avoids the question, but note that Wi-Fi and Ethernet have different MAC addresses. See MAC address for IPTV.

Upload your playlist and activate

  1. On a phone or computer, upload your playlist on siptv.app with the MAC address. See upload a playlist to Smart IPTV.
  2. Restart the app and check your channels play.
  3. After the trial, activate the device once on siptv.app. See Smart IPTV activation.

Smart IPTV also offers a Lock MAC/ID option, so nobody else can reset your playlist from the website.

Is it the right player for a stick?

Smart IPTV is deliberately simple. On Fire TV and Android TV you also have players with a full TV guide, catch-up and recording, such as TiviMate. See the best IPTV apps for Firestick and Smart IPTV errors if something goes wrong.
