What you need
- The MAC address (or device ID) shown in the Smart IPTV app on your TV. Smart IPTV notes that newer LG webOS versions use a device ID because they can’t read the MAC address.
- Your playlist link (M3U) or a playlist file. Smart IPTV’s upload page accepts m3u8, ts and mpegts formats.
Upload step by step
- On a phone or computer, open siptv.app’s playlist upload page.
- Enter the MAC address exactly as the app shows it.
- Choose URL and paste your playlist link, or choose file and select it.
- Set the guide options (below).
- Send the upload and wait for the confirmation.
- Restart Smart IPTV on the TV. On Samsung TVs, a long press on 0 or CH forces a playlist reload, according to Smart IPTV’s FAQ.
The options explained
| Option | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| EPG country | Chooses the country’s guide data to match your channels | Pick the country that matches most of your channels |
| Detect EPG | Uses the guide address included in your playlist | When your playlist header contains a guide address |
| Disable playlist logos / override app logos | Chooses whose channel logos are shown | If logos are missing or wrong |
| Save online | Keeps the playlist on Smart IPTV’s server instead of in the TV | Only when the playlist fails because of low memory |
| Disable groups | Ignores channel groups | When uploading several playlists together |
Protect it
Smart IPTV advises locking your MAC or ID in the app’s settings, to stop your playlist being reset by a third party. The upload page also uses a PIN for deletions.
If it doesn’t load
- Check the link in a browser; see playlist not working.
- Reduce the playlist’s size, or disable the external guide temporarily.
- See Smart IPTV errors for each message.
- If the free trial has ended, the TV needs activating before channels play again.
