“Check playlist URL” or “No playlist uploaded”
Smart IPTV couldn’t load your playlist at start-up. The developer’s FAQ suggests:
- Power-cycle the TV for about a minute.
- Force a reload with a long press on 0 or CH on the remote.
- Reduce the playlist size; very large playlists can exceed the TV’s memory. See large playlists.
- Disable the external guide temporarily.
- Tick “save online” when uploading, if the playlist fails because of low memory.
- On Samsung, reset Smart Hub as a last resort.
Also check that the playlist was uploaded to the MAC address the app shows now. See upload your playlist.
“Server (URL) connection timeout”
The playlist server didn’t answer in time. The FAQ recommends testing with Smart IPTV’s example list, making sure your link is a direct link rather than a redirect, checking the URL is online, and trying the playlist as a downloaded file instead.
“Stream failed”
The playlist loaded, but a stream wouldn’t play. The FAQ recommends checking the stream links work and that the codec is supported by your TV model. Try another channel, and an HD version of 4K channels. See codec not supported.
“Cannot connect” or constant buffering
If streams work elsewhere but not on the TV, test Smart IPTV’s example list to rule out the app, check the stream is valid, and confirm the TV supports its format. Then work through how to stop IPTV buffering.
Numbered errors
Numbers such as 884 or 102 aren’t explained in the FAQ we checked. Match what’s happening to one of the messages above and follow those steps. If the problem is on every channel on every device, contact your provider.
