With an Xtream Codes login
TiviMate normally fetches the guide from your server along with the channels.
- Let the channel list finish loading.
- Open the EPG settings in TiviMate’s Settings and run a manual update.
- Open the TV guide and check a few channels.
If it stays empty, add the guide address manually as below. With Xtream Codes, it’s usually your server followed by /xmltv.php?username=…&password=…; see Xtream Codes to M3U.
With an M3U playlist
- Find your guide address: from your provider, or in the playlist’s first line (
x-tvg-urlorurl-tvg). See EPG URL. - In Settings, open the EPG section and add an EPG source with that address.
- Run a manual update and wait for it to finish.
Settings worth setting once
- Update interval: daily is plenty.
- Days of guide to keep: two or three days keeps the app quick on Fire TV Sticks.
- Guide time offset: leave it at zero unless every listing is consistently early or late.
Exact menu names vary a little between TiviMate versions.
Fixing guide problems
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Whole guide empty | Guide not downloaded, or the address is wrong | Update manually; check the EPG source; see TV guide not loading |
| Some channels show no information | Channel IDs don’t match the guide | Refresh playlist and guide; see “EPG not available” for some channels |
| All listings shifted | Device time zone, or guide time zone | Fix the device clock, then use the offset; see EPG wrong time |
| Guide stops after a day or two | Not updating | Check the update interval; update manually |
| Catch-up doesn’t work | Catch-up depends on the guide and the provider | See catch-up not working |
For the general principles that apply to every app, see how to add an EPG to any IPTV app.
