M3U playlist checker
The check runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Playlists usually contain your username and password inside the stream addresses, so don’t paste them into tools you don’t trust.
What the checks mean
| Check | Why it matters | Fix |
|---|---|---|
Starts with #EXTM3U | Many players reject a list without this first line | Add it as the first line |
| Channels without a stream address | The line after each #EXTINF must be the stream address | Remove the broken entry or restore its address |
Missing guide IDs (tvg-id) | Without them, the TV guide can’t be matched to those channels | Add IDs that match your guide; see missing guide listings |
Missing groups (group-title) | Channels end up in one long list | Add groups; see how to edit a playlist |
| HTML found in the text | The server sent an error page, not a playlist | Check the link and your account |
Getting the playlist text
Open your playlist link in a browser on a computer. If it downloads a file, choose that file above. If it shows text, select all of it and paste it here. The text usually contains your username and password inside each stream address, so only paste it into tools you trust. This one runs locally and uploads nothing.
For what each line and tag means, see the M3U tags reference.
