IPTV on a Panasonic TV

How you watch IPTV on a Panasonic TV depends on its age. For years Panasonic used its own system, My Home Screen. From 2024 it moved its premium TVs to Fire TV, and its 2026 range mixes Google TV, Fire TV and TiVo OS after Panasonic stopped developing its own platform. Fire TV and Google TV models install the usual IPTV players; older and entry-level sets are often easier with a streaming stick.

The model number is on the label at the back and in the TV’s settings. On recent sets, the last letter of the series is the year: A for 2024, B for 2025 and C for 2026.

Panasonic Fire TV models

Panasonic’s Fire TV sets install IPTV players the way a Fire TV Stick does: from the Amazon Appstore, or from the player’s developer using the Downloader app. See how to install an IPTV player on a Fire TV and IPTV on Fire TV smart TVs.

Two things differ from a Google TV:

  • Casting: FlatpanelsHD reported that the 2025 Fire TV models support Apple AirPlay 2 but not Google Cast, so you can’t cast from a Chromecast-only phone app.
  • Software: Amazon has moved some newer Fire TV devices to Vega OS, which only installs Appstore apps. Check what your TV runs before relying on sideloaded players; see Fire TV OS versions.

Panasonic Google TV models

Google TV models, such as the 2026 Z85C OLED and W95C and W97C miniLED ranges, install players from Google Play:

  1. Open Google Play, search for a player and check the developer name. See the best IPTV apps for Android TV and Google TV.
  2. Add your Xtream Codes login or M3U link and let the guide load.
  3. For smooth 25 and 50 fps channels, turn on frame-rate matching in the player or TV where it’s offered. See frame rate explained.

TiVo OS and My Home Screen models

TiVo OS, used on some of Panasonic’s more affordable TVs, and My Home Screen, on most models before 2024, have much smaller app stores than Google Play or the Amazon Appstore. FlatpanelsHD noted when Panasonic dropped it that My Home Screen had fallen behind other platforms in features and apps.

Check the TV’s app store for a player that accepts your login. If there isn’t one, the simple answer is a streaming stick in a spare HDMI port:

FAQ

Panasonic TV questions

Can I install IPTV apps on a Panasonic TV?

On Panasonic’s Fire TV and Google TV models, yes: they install players as Fire TV and Google TV devices do. On older My Home Screen TVs and on TiVo OS models the app choice is much smaller, so a streaming stick is usually the easier route.

Which system does my Panasonic TV run?

The home screen tells you: Fire TV and Google TV look like Amazon’s and Google’s own devices. The last letter of the model series also gives the year: A for 2024, B for 2025 and C for 2026 models.

Do Panasonic Fire TV models support Chromecast?

FlatpanelsHD reported that Panasonic’s 2025 Fire TV models support Apple AirPlay 2 but not Google Cast. Panasonic’s Google TV models are the ones to choose if you cast from an Android phone.
