The official Kodi wiki gives this path:
SettingsAdd-onsInstall from repositoryPVR clientsPVR IPTV Simple Client, then Install.
The wiki also advises disabling other PVR add-ons before installing this one.
Configure it
- Open SettingsAdd-onsMy add-onsPVR clients, choose PVR IPTV Simple Client and select Configure.
- Playlist: set the location to a remote path (URL) and paste your M3U link, or choose a local file.
- Guide: set the XMLTV location to your guide address or file.
- Save, then restart Kodi or let the add-on reload.
- Open TV from the home menu.
If your provider gave you an Xtream Codes login, build the M3U and XMLTV links from it with Xtream Codes to M3U.
The playlist tags it reads
According to the Kodi wiki, the add-on reads these tags from each #EXTINF line:
| Tag | What it does in Kodi |
|---|---|
tvg-id | Matches the channel to its channel id in the XMLTV guide |
tvg-name | Used to match the guide if tvg-id is missing |
tvg-logo | The channel logo |
tvg-shift | Shifts the guide by a number of hours; on the #EXTM3U line it applies to every channel |
tvg-chno | The channel number Kodi shows |
group-title | The channel group |
radio | Marks a group or channel as radio |
Our M3U tags reference explains these tags across players.
Common problems
| Problem | Fix |
